My train back to Nagano looks like it usually belongs to a museum.
This steam engine is in fact a museum exhibit in Omiya.
And it even houses a geocache, it took me quite a while to find it.
Those drivers' cabs line the street from the railway station to the railway museum.
The handrails along the street all have shinkansen ornaments.
The JR railway museum has a great collection of engines and cars.
This time table is for Shinkansen trains, not for commuting trains!
This is my room for tonight in a nice hotel in Akihabara.
The Ginza, Tokyo's most famous shopping street at night.
The christmas decoration is already fully installed.
Another Ginza view at night.
Even the side streets are decorated very nicely.
Plaza at Yurakucho station.
And decorated trees in Akihabara.
Tall buildings with a lot of lights are an important factor of this area's atmosphere.
